Cyber is an open-text project, which means that everyone can translate the texts of the game by editing the “.txt” files inside the “Testi” folder. The “Testi” folder is located inside the “Dati” folder located in the root
folder of the installation path (eg. C:\Program Files\Cyber\Dati\Testi).
In order to format the translation it is recommended for the texts to appear in their borders, for example:
-the texts of the buttons should stay inside the button
-the texts of the screenplay should fit their corresponding borders
-the texts of the narration box should appear entirely inside the box at once, and not one or more lines above.
In order to allow the game to show the texts, you MUSTN'T change or translate the file's names (e.g. “Conferma.txt” must remain “Conferma.txt” even if you have translated the text inside the file).
You are not allowed to publish an independent translation of Cyber, but, when you have translated all the files, you can send them to this email address: andreapignataro@katamail.com , telling the name of the author and which language you translated Cyber in.
All the translations you will send to this address will be examined and, if suitables, they will be included in an exclusive translated version of Cyber. The author of the game will create this exclusive translated version and will quote in the credits of the game the author (name, surname and, if the translator requests it, also the email address) of the translation.
The translated versions of Cyber can be downloaded from the “Download” section of the
website.
